EU Day 51: Riding Novi Sad (SRB) to Osijek (CRO)

Today’s ride was scorching hot, the highway had zero shade and it felt like there was a hairdryer blowing in my face the whole time. There wasn’t much I could do, except keep pedaling and drinking water. I pulled over to force myself to eat, which was quite unpleasant, but my body probably appreciated it.

At least it was flat

Once I arrived, I showered and lied down for a bit. I realised that I had drank about 4L of water today, and still hadn’t gone to the bathroom, yet I was still thirsty. I headed to town and saw heaps of nice buildings, so I’m about to bombard you with a bunch of photos that I’m too lazy to find the back stories for.

Dinner was quite uneventful, I’d lost my appetite and I was just too exhausted to do much more. All that time in the heat fried me and I just wanted to lie in a swimming pool. Unfortunately my accommodation was really small and hot, I guess you can’t always win. Tomorrow I’ll definitely wake up earlier and avoid more of that terrible heat.

Yay for eating with my hands, boo for the ribs being tiny
